We just spent 5 nights at the family friendly jungle resort Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid and I want to share with you everything there is to know

***Location***

There are 3 resorts in one location away from the main tourist area and nearby the adorable and quaint Puerto Morelos. Still, a quick trip from Cancun International. We opted for the newest portion of the resort, Ventus Ha, and it is stunning. The grounds are tropical and incredibly well maintained. There’s a beautiful, lit path and background music that plays as you venture to the rooms. The exterior is modern architecture with concrete and wood and it is beautiful. While we enjoyed the quiet of Ventus Ha, we spent the majority of our time walking across the street or taking a golf cart shuttle to the other two resorts. They never had enough golf carts but the exercise ended up being beneficial because the food was so good!

***Accommodations***

Each room at Ventus Ha includes an outdoor terrace with hammock. Our room had fantastic privacy; secured by the landscaping. The room however was much smaller than any I’ve stayed in recently. The basic room did not include a bathtub and the vanity with sinks was in the bedroom. I wish I had upgraded and would so if I returned.

***Family Friendly BUT Adults Friendly***

I really appreciate that the resort was comfortable for everyone. So many pools to choose from to turn up or relax, your choice. There’s an adults only infinity pool AND a family infinity pool.

At Ventus Ha, there’s an adults only, rooftop bar and pool. It is the best place on site to see the sunset; bar service was excellent as well. The main pool had activities going on and a super fun spot to ‘cliff jump’.

*** Dining Options***

We tried almost every restaurant and none disappointed. Pro and con: reservations are required. You can book two per day. Our timing was off so we didn’t get to try them all. It was nice not having to wait upon arriving for dinner though. We also ate at the dinner buffet twice which didn’t require a reservation. The dinner buffet changed nightly and had a sampling from one of their restaurants each night i.e. Italian, Mexican. For lunch we enjoyed their food court like market. It had so many choices. We especially liked the ceviche bar and that it had a full service bar within with wait service. Room service to Ventus Ha was nearly nonexistent unfortunately. This is likely due to the proximity to the nearest kitchen. Breakfast room service only included cold items. I would give the food quality and selection five stars.

*** Beach***

If you’re looking for an excellent beach site, this location is not for you. The beach itself is okay. They have adequate loungers and drink service. During our time, the smell and seaweed was intolerable due to recent storms. I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it any way as there are barriers to keep the beach from washing away making the water level only a couple of feet deep.

***Entertainment***

We enjoyed every bit of nightly entertainment the resort had to offer. The lobby had nightly live music- saxophone, harpist, live bands. Very enjoyable. We also had a good time at the adults only night club. They had a band or DJ nightly.

***Drinks***

Drinks were good, not great. Until we discovered their mixologist menu which is  The entire menu has hand crafted cocktails that were to-die-for. We sampled most of them and had wished we had discovered this menu sooner.

Personalized Service: When you book with me, I will handle all of the details. Your job is simply to arrive and enjoy.

Overall, with some minor adjustments, I would absolutely return to this resort. It may be the most relaxing vacation we’ve ever had.

Don’t miss out on your dream vacation! Book your stay at Ventus Ha, Ventus, or Marina El Cid.
