I spent two nights enjoying the 3 properties found on site of Generations Riviera Maya. Here is my review.

***Location***

There are 3 resorts in one location a quick 30 minutes ride from Cancun International near the town of Puerto Morelos. Round trip transportation via Lomas was included. I stayed in the family friendly side at Generations Riviera Maya. Also on property is El Dorado Casitas and El Dorado Royale for guests 18+.

***Accommodations***

My room overlooked the main family pool which included a beautiful ocean view beyond with a balcony. The suite was very spacious with a large bedroom area, separate living room with divider and two tv’s. The bathroom was large as well with a huge bathtub that I never wanted to leave. I enjoyed the tub both nights and especially appreciated the bubble bath and bath salts provided. In the room, slippers and a robe were also appreciated. I didn’t realize I would miss those until I stayed at a resort that didn’t have them.

***Family Friendly***

This resort is ready to entertain those multi-generational families. There’s something for everyone. If you’re with a group or adults only, there’s options to enjoy the amenities at the neighboring adults only resorts as well just a short walk away. Daily activities were posted down by the pool on a large board. There’s even a game room lounge area for your kids or teenagers to basketball, air hockey, pool or video games.

The main pool had activities going on all time which could be noisy late at night. If you like a resort with a lot of activity right outside your door, this is a good fit for you.

*** Dining Options***

Generations Riviera Maya includes 6 eateries. You also have all of the restaurants at the 2 neighboring resorts. I ate at the Asian restaurant, Italian restaurant and Sant Fe restaurant during my visit. I also enjoyed daily room service for breakfast.

*** Beach***

The beach has palapas available and loungers. Please note it does have the concrete barriers in place to keep the beach from eroding. There’s also a large, beautiful palapa on a pier that has hurricane glass barriers.

***Personalized Service***

When you book with me, I will handle all of the details. Your job is simply to arrive and enjoy.

Don’t miss out on your dream vacation! Book your stay at Generations Riviera Maya, El Dorado Royale or El Dorado Casitas.

BEFORE BOOKING AT GENERATIONS RIVIERA MAYA KEEP THIS IN MIND! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

⚠️ Tips for Future Travelers:

  • Do NOT stay here if you value your belongings and peace of mind.

  • We experienced lost money, with zero accountability from management. A significant amount of money went missing from our room, and instead of addressing the issue with urgency and professionalism, the staff and management, Fabiola Martinez, Marianna Martinez and Alejandro Carrillo, deflected all responsibility

  • Staff conducted a so-called “investigation” without supervision or our presence.

  • Shady behavior from room attendants and a dismissive attitude from supervisors.

  • Be prepared for blame-shifting—they will accuse you rather than own up to their failures.

  • No security presence, no real protocol followed, and no compensation or sincere apology offered.

  • Staying here means risking…
